As of late...

 LATELY:

For the past few weeks our home has been without wifi, so Dearest Readers whoever you are, forgive me for disappointing your expectations.
...

Recently, I've been creating the heck out of typography sheets. I have this journal that I create
different quotes on. Some quotes I like more than others- not just for the message they give off, but the way I drew them, the specific words I gave emphasis to.

But, things are really good. I have been continuing with my resolution and it's treating me quite well!

At the moment, I'm sick. AGAIN. Not as terribly. But just as my classes were going to start back up and get into the full swing of things... Sickness hits. And I'm not okay with this. So for the time being- more fluids and rest.
Things have been going on and changing and influencing me, most of them for the better I think.

Things I'm creating and even seeing other people make, just inspires me, even to simply doodle. I need to keep going and learning. I'm almost glad we didn't have the internet for a while. It fosters laziness.

I've also been keeping up with another Resolution and that is to read things and watch things I've never encountered before.
Thus far I've read "Jane Eyre" and will soon read "The Great Gastby" and/or "A book of Edgar Allan Poe Poems". I've also watched many movies- most of them British- "The Young Victoria" YOU MUST WATCH, "Jane Eyre" Fantastic and moving, showed a different view of the book, "Hamlet" with David Tennant and Patrick Stewart, brilliant of course, "Bright Star" about the Poet John Keats' romance before his death. Everything I'm doing and reading makes me more of who the Lord Jesus created me to be. I'm sure of it.

Until next time dearies.

M(aking + ore) Th(ings + is) Year.

 I am now NOT SICK.
Hoo-freaking-ray!!

Now that I'm not sick, I've been making ALL THE THINGS. I was inspired by a picture recently  in which a tree was turned into a girl, but a lamppost next to the tree was also turned into a girl, and they were sort of smiling at one another... and it inspired me. So, I drew out on cardstock I had lying around and then inked it with a Precise V5- my pen of choice, The next evening I watercolored it. I think it turned out quite nice!!

I also started knitting myself some mittens. I have NO IDEA how... but, I figured it cant be that hard. So, I'm using handfuls of scrap yarn here and there from this and that projects, And at the moment I have 3/4 of one finished. I'll finish the other one... eventually.
Also!!! I bought new yarn the other day because 1.) I haven't knit myself a scarf in... years! and 2.) that shade of green looks wonderful with my yellow coat!

I also went shopping with my Mom the other day- sort of a "Post-Christmas-I-Now-Have-Money" spree. I bought a few sale items. One of them being ... something that's too big to be called a clutch, but probably too small to be called a purse. And the fact that it's yellow both excites me and disappoints me-- when I wear my coat, chucks, and then carry this around, I'm FAR TOO matchy-matchy.

My Mom bought be an iHome for Christmas and I've proceeded to playing a lot of music lately. Any moment I'm brushing my hair or simply making my bed, I turn on music. It's quite fantastic! Also- waking up to music rather than the "MAH MLAH MLAH MLAH!!!" of an alarm is quite nice.

I feel great. This isn't meant to be a "LOOK AT HOW WELL I'M DOING! ME ME ME ME ME!" Post. At all. But, I haven't felt like ... "me" in a while. I'm working on typography everyday and have done about 8 new designs- which I'll likely post later. I have found my new inspiration guy Sean McCabe/ seanwes. His designs are the ones I stumbled on a while ago and never thought to look up who it was that drew them... But, I found him- on Instagram and online. More ideas. More Making. EVERY. DAY. In fact, that's my ONE New Years Resolution. Make something/ Work on something EVERY DAY. I never make resolutions. But, this year seemed appropriate for some reason.
The cat hardly leaves my side, so I seem to have constant support and warmth.

All is well in "Katie-Land"
Shakespeare classes started back up again which means ALL THE MEMORIZING.-- but it'll be worth it.
This coming weekend, I'm spending the night with my best friends and we're going to do Star Trek Movie (the '08 version) and Talks about the sequel coming out in May (the 17th-- with BENEDICT CUMBERBATCH!) and we'll giggle about how handsome Chris Pine is. *TeeHee* We have plans to watch "500 Days of Summer" because... who DOESN'T love Joseph Gordon-Levitt?! We love him.
We're also talking about making Sherlock/Shakespeare infused t-shirts. Though I assume heart-to-hearts will happen, like always, we'll drink copious amounts of tea, We'll take pictures - like yah' do- we'll giggle and talk about all the fantastic things.

Things are good. Things are VERY good.
